Year 4 enjoyed 5 weeks of Shared Education lessons with Irvinestown Primary School and St Paul’s Primary School. They got to experience a wonderful variety of activities during their outdoor lessons which included:
- Scavenger hunts and making bird nests
- Walk around the Mill Race and bird watching
- Making bird fruit kebabs
- Minibeast hunt
- Data Handling - Creating pictograms after sorting minibeasts by different criteria
- Art - James Brunt nature pictures and bark and leaf rubbings
- Phonics- Building words in nature
- Mindfulness activities in the outdoors
- Den building using waterproof materials
- Maths - Measuring the girth of trees
Our Shared Education lessons came to an end with a wonderful trip to Necarne. The children had a great time exploring the grounds, completing a scavenger hunt and making creative colour wheels.
