Year 1 were incredibly excited to welcome a very special visitor to our classroom to talk to us about being a farmer. Farmer Vicki from Legendairy Holsteins is also a Year 1 Mummy! Vicki talked to us about how she looks after the amazing cows on her farm and about how important the milk that is produced there is. She showed us clusters that are used for milking and explained about how much milk each cow gives. Every child in Year 1 had thought of a question to ask about being a farmer and looking after animals. Vicki very kindly brought every child a present of a cow key ring torch and an ear tag key ring. We then had a surprise visit from some very cute animals that you might find on a farm!
