Year 1 learned all about why we celebrate 🎉 VE Day and why this year was a special anniversary. We were very impressed when one of our Year 1 pupils could tell us the dates of World War II! We all enjoyed visiting the display of War memorabilia in the School Hall. The best part was trying on the costumes and seeing the weapons up close. An amazing musical pipe and drum performance from some of our past pupils was great to hear. We had a special Assembly and made Spitfire aeroplanes during Play. We finished off with a lovely picnic lunch and play in the sunshine.
